Addendum to previous post.
Other things found while Googling (do we capitalize “Googling”?) internet acronyms:
This list of text message acronyms is ridiculous. For example, did you know that an exclamation mark (‘!’) means “I have a comment”?! I have had a lot of comments in that case!
Also, apparently there are people out there using “banana” as short for “penis,” which is insane, because first of all it’s longer and second of all there is such a thing as context clues, people.
Also, “FYSBIGTBABN”. And “ILICISCOMK”. And “IM2BZ2P”. And “IWBAPTAKYAIYSTA”. And “PITMEMBOAM”. And “YRYOCC”.
I submit that no person has ever used one of these unwieldy beings without having to explain it in the next message, unless they were slaughtered by their friends first.
Also I just remembered another thing about internet acronyms that blew my MIND when I first learned it. OK, so in German, the number “8” is pronounced “acht” and the word for “night” is “nacht” so when a German person texts you “good night” they say “gute n8”. Wow!
