Steve Spillman

is a good friend of yours.
He is also the community manager @GroupMe.

i was at this internet event the other day and i finally actually met pitchfork reviews reviews. a few months ago i think i emailed joe something when i was drunk asking to introduce me to him because i was totally enamored with his writing, like everyone else, but then i got shy or something and never followed up on that. anyway he looked a little bit manic and shook mine and max’s hands and then he muttered something like “we just did 6 rails” but then joe said “no we didn’t, we just tried four loko because david has never had it and he gave the guy at the bodega 50 cents for two coffee cups”. then PRR went to talk to some other people and just seemed like he was having a really good time, and it was really nice and joe stuck around to chat a little but people were reading so we couldn’t talk too much. but next time i meet pitchfork reviews reviews i hope he hasn’t just had some four loko because that stuff is, if you haven’t heard, crazy.

anyway i was just thinking that this is basically the most memetastic thing i could write about (PRR + four loko = soooo timely) but it feels a little weird to be writing something about people that really exist, and about something that i really did, without totally getting their consent? i guess?, but also that’s what he does all the time and it sounds really cool so i guess that’s what i’m getting at here.

experiment over. i feel dirty. back to snide comments about youtube videos.

& i hope nobody is offended(?) by this because i just wanted to try writing like this and it was sorta fun. ok, that’s it for now, bye!
